As one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, O4W is teeming with culture. Located east of downtown Atlanta, cool industrial architecture intertwines with its creative population to turn this area into one of Atlanta’s most sought-after destinations. Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival
There are many festivals that call O4W home. The Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival is one such event and it happens every October over two days. Home of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Visit the birthplace and childhood home of Martin Luther King, Jr. and then walk around the corner to Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Sweet Auburn District along Auburn Ave is famously associated with the civil rights movement, with its landmarks now designated as national historic sites.
Ponce City Market
Ponce City Market is a dynamic, mixed use space with indoor and outdoor activities. Dine at the food hall or the many open restaurants here, shop on the ground floor, or decide to take their elevator up to the Roof and wander the rooftop amusement park.

Edgewood Avenue
Along with the colorful murals that run along this street, Edgewood Avenue is known for its hip and eclectic food choices. It offers a lineup of bars, restaurants and clubs. From Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room & Ping Pong Emporium (which, believe it or not, is a bar and restaurant) to Noni’s Deli, this area is bursting with energy and a diversity of options.
Old Fourth Distillery
Locally-owned like the other bars and restaurants throughout O4W, this place stands out for its history. It was opened in 1906 as the first distillery in the city after prohibition. Attend an event held here, take a tour, or choose to explore more of the eateries and breweries in the area!

Atlanta BeltLine
The BeltLine is a comprehensive revitalization effort of an old railway system. It offers greenspace, public art installations, access to various parks and shops, and even more places to explore.
